eBay Inventory Management Software for UK Sellers: What Each Tool Syncs and Costs
eBay inventory management software for UK sellers: what Seller Hub does free, then 8 multichannel tools compared on price, sync speed and UK catches.
eBay inventory management software keeps eBay quantities, orders and SKUs matched to the stock you hold and to every other channel selling it. eBay’s free Seller Hub handles listings and orders on eBay. Once Amazon, Etsy or a website share the same shelf, you need a multichannel tool or an owned system.
Quick summary: Selling on eBay alone, Seller Hub is free and often enough. Adding a second channel, compare Zoho Inventory (from £25 a month billed annually, before tax) with Veeqo’s Inventory plan (from £17 a month including VAT), and read Sellbrite’s eBay UK limits before you pick it. 3Dsellers suits eBay-first sellers. Linnworks and Brightpearl price on request. Prices checked September 2026.
One eBay rule shows where its own stock handling stops. Switch on the out-of-stock option and a Good 'Til Cancelled listing that hits zero stays live but hidden from search, and eBay ends it only after 180 consecutive days at zero, according to its help page. The same page warns that cancelling an order because the item is out of stock can affect your seller standing. Yet eBay cannot lower your quantity when the unit sells on Amazon, because eBay only knows what eBay sold.

What does eBay’s own Seller Hub already handle?
Seller Hub already handles listings, orders, performance data and bulk uploads for your eBay account. eBay describes Seller Hub as free to use, and you need at least one sale before you can open it.
Its Orders tab prints postage labels and uploads tracking, the Listings tab edits listings singly or in bulk, and the Reports tab handles CSV and XLSX uploads and downloads. eBay’s Bulk Listing Tool manages up to 2,000 listings at once, and the same page says Seller Hub Reports was formerly File Exchange. If you still use old File Exchange templates, check them: eBay says the orders report has had columns rearranged, added and removed.
One fixed-price listing can hold up to 250 variations, such as sizes and colours, for no additional fee, and each variation carries its own quantity and price.
What Seller Hub does not do is look outside eBay. None of its tabs holds a stock figure shared with Amazon, Etsy or your own website, and that shared figure is the whole job once you sell in two places.
Is there free eBay inventory management software that actually syncs?
Yes, free eBay inventory management software exists, but the free tiers ration exactly what a multichannel seller needs: sync speed, order volume and inventory features. Each ceiling is printed on the vendor’s pricing page.
Sellbrite’s Free Forever plan covers up to 30 orders a month and syncs every 2 hours. Veeqo’s free plan is a shipping product; automated inventory sync across channels sits in its paid Inventory plan. Zoho Inventory’s free plan lists 50 orders, 1 user and 2 locations.
Those limits matter more than the price tag. A two-hour sync window is fine for slow-moving stock and risky for a fast seller with one unit left. Thirty orders a month is roughly one a day, so a free plan lets you test the workflow; it will not carry a growing shop.
A spreadsheet is the other free option. It works while one person updates it and one channel sells, and it breaks the day two channels sell the same unit before anyone opens it. If that has already happened, the fixes are in how to stop overselling across Shopify, Amazon and eBay. If no subscription fits the way you sell, the other route is one stock count you own, and our multichannel inventory automation page shows what that looks like.
Best eBay inventory management software, compared
The table lists what each vendor publishes, in the currency it publishes, as checked in September 2026. Prices change, so treat it as a shortlist to verify, not a quote. Most price on orders, 3Dsellers prices on listings, and Linnworks, Brightpearl and Rithum publish no price.

Multichannel listing and sync tools
These four are built around marketplace listing and stock sync. They differ mainly in how they charge and in what they support on eBay UK.
Linnworks
Linnworks sells multichannel order and inventory management and does not publish prices. Its pricing page says plans are “priced on order volume, not revenue”, tiered by monthly orders, with overages when you exceed the tier. It lists 100+ channel integrations, including eBay and Amazon, and its listing and warehouse modules are also priced on orders. Our breakdown of Linnworks pricing covers how that scales.
Veeqo
Veeqo was founded in the UK in 2013 and acquired by Amazon in 2021, according to its UK pricing page. The Shipping plan is free, with unlimited orders, users and SKUs, and ships orders from eBay, Amazon, Shopify and others. Automated inventory sync across channels needs the Inventory plan, listed from £17 a month including VAT and priced on monthly order volume.
Sellbrite
GoDaddy’s Sellbrite publishes its tiers in dollars on its pricing page. The free plan covers 30 orders a month with a 2-hour sync. Pro 100 costs $29 a month billed annually for up to 100 orders, with inventory and price sync every 15 minutes, and Pro 2K is $179 for 2,000 orders. SKUs and sales channels are unlimited.
For UK sellers, Sellbrite’s help centre says eBay UK is supported for quantity sync and order imports, but not for price sync, and listings cannot be created or edited from Sellbrite. Only USD is supported, with no currency conversion.
3Dsellers
3Dsellers calls itself an all-in-one eBay platform and charges by active listings, not orders, per its pricing page. Billed monthly, Essential is $19 a month for 100 listings and one eBay account, Growth is $39.90 for 500 listings, and Professional starts at $79 for 2,000 listings and adds the multichannel catalogue, where Amazon and Walmart are marked Beta. Orders are unlimited on every plan, but the same product listed on two channels counts as two listings.
eBay inventory tracking inside wider stock platforms
These four sit further from the listing screen. They run stock, purchasing and orders for the whole business, with eBay as one connected channel among several.
Brightpearl
Brightpearl, part of Sage Group, is a retail operations platform that does not publish prices. Its pricing page asks you to request pricing, includes unlimited users at no extra cost, and lists multi-location inventory sync plus an accounting module or links to Sage, Xero and QuickBooks. Its eBay page says several eBay accounts can connect, each with its own stock, pricing and branding.
Rithum (ChannelAdvisor)
CommerceHub announced the Rithum name on 12 December 2023, describing ChannelAdvisor, Dsco and Cadeera coming together for “the world’s largest brands and retailers”. Its marketplace listings page says it supports more than 600 marketplaces, including eBay, and can hold back reserve stock with inventory buffers. I found no published prices.
Zoho Inventory
Zoho Inventory publishes UK prices in pounds on its pricing page. Standard is £25 per organisation a month billed annually, for 500 orders a month, 2 users and 2 locations, and Professional is £65 for 3,000 orders. eBay, Amazon and Etsy appear among its marketplace integrations. Prices exclude local taxes.
inFlow Inventory
inFlow is stock control first and selling second. Its pricing page lists Entrepreneur at 129 USD a month billed annually, with 2 team members, 1,200 sales orders a year, 1 integration and 1 location, then 0.20 USD for each extra order. Its integrations directory lists eBay via Extensiv Integration Manager, not as a direct inFlow connection, and the pricing page counts Extensiv Integration Manager as an active integration, which on Entrepreneur is your only one.
How is Amazon and eBay inventory management software different?
Amazon and eBay inventory management software differs from single-channel tools in one main way: it has to treat stock Amazon holds for you as part of the same pool. Units sitting in Amazon’s warehouses can sell on eBay too, if the software imports them and routes the eBay order back to Amazon.
Vendors price that differently. Sellbrite charges a $19 monthly add-on to import FBA inventory for other channels and route multi-channel fulfilment orders to FBA, and it excludes FBA orders from plan counts. Veeqo also excludes FBA orders from its chargeable volume. If most of your orders ship from FBA, check this before comparing headline prices.
Order-priced tools also count every channel together. Veeqo’s own example is a seller connecting eBay and Shopify, whose volume is the total orders from both stores. So price the tool on your combined month, not on eBay alone.
For the Amazon side, from FBA versus FBM to reconciling Amazon’s numbers with yours, see our Amazon inventory management guide.
How do you choose inventory management software for eBay sellers?
Choosing eBay stock management software comes down to five checks. Feature lists overlap too much to settle it.
Sync interval on your plan. Sellbrite is the only vendor here that prints a number on its pricing page: 2 hours free, 15 minutes paid. Linnworks’ pricing page says it syncs “instantly” and Brightpearl’s eBay page says “in real-time”, but neither gives a figure. Ask for the number in minutes, in writing: it is the window in which your last unit can sell twice.
The unit you pay by. Orders (Linnworks, Veeqo, Sellbrite, Zoho, inFlow), active listings (3Dsellers) or a quote (Brightpearl, Rithum). Model your busiest month, not an average one. Sellbrite moves you up a tier automatically if orders exceed your plan mid-cycle.
How SKUs and variations map. eBay allows up to 250 variations in one listing, and your tool has to tie each one to one SKU and one stock figure. If it cannot, a size 8 in blue ends up sharing a count with every other size. Relisting is the other trap: eBay says variations at zero quantity are relisted with their original quantity, so counts need correcting straight after a relist.
Native connection or connector. A direct integration and a route through a separate connector, like inFlow’s eBay link via Extensiv, are different support conversations when an order stops flowing. Ask who fixes it, and how quickly.
Records your accountant can use. Under rules that started on 1 January 2024, platforms report sellers’ details and income to HMRC. GOV.UK guidance says your details will not be reported if you make fewer than 30 sales of goods and receive less than 2,000 euros (about £1,700) for those sales in a calendar year. It also states: “These reports do not replace your normal business records or tax calculations.” Check that the software exports sales, fees and stock movements cleanly, and ask an accountant about your own tax position.
When eBay sellers outgrow the standard tools
Many eBay sellers never outgrow these tools, and that is the right outcome. Those who do tend to hit the same five problems, listed here as general patterns:
- Stock lags between Amazon, eBay and Etsy, so a unit sold on one still shows on another.
- Marketplace reports are downloaded and re-keyed by hand every day.
- The subscription rises with volume while much of it goes unused.
- A SKU or listing limit forces a big price step for a small catalogue step.
- Personalised or made-to-order products do not fit a fixed-SKU model.
The first three often have a cheaper fix. A slow sync may simply be your plan’s interval, which a paid tier shortens. Manual report downloads can often be replaced by a connector. Paying for unused features is a reason to test a lighter tool priced on your real order volume.
The last two are different in kind. Limits are the vendor’s pricing model working as designed, so they return at every tier. Personalised items are a data-model problem: what you sell is a job with inputs, not a variation with a quantity, and standard listing tools are built around the second. When either keeps costing you money every month, another upgrade will not fix it. A free audit call maps where stock and time leak between your channels, and you keep the map whether or not we work together.
Where an owned operations system fits, and where it does not
An owned operations system fits when the same stock sells across three or more channels and the limit or personalisation problems above keep coming back after you have tried the paid tiers. It does not fit an eBay-only seller, or anyone whose catalogue sits comfortably inside a published tier.
Built around how you run, an owned system holds one stock figure and pushes it to eBay, Amazon, Etsy and your website, with personalised orders modelled as the jobs they are. You own the code and the data, there is no per-seat fee, and hosting is paid to Cloudflare directly.
OpsMavix builds these at fixed prices in three bands, listed on our pricing page: Starter Fix £3k to £10k for one workflow, such as one live stock count across channels; Growth System £10k to £25k for multi-channel orders and one stock pool; and Operations Platform from £25k. Below £3k, a spreadsheet fix or a subscription tool is the right answer, and we will say so.
We have no client savings to quote, so compare on your own numbers: five years of subscription fees at peak volume, including tier jumps and add-ons, against a one-off build plus hosting. The calculator on the pricing page runs that sum. If the subscription wins, keep it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there free eBay inventory management software?
Yes. eBay’s Seller Hub is free once you have made one sale, and it manages listings, orders and bulk uploads for eBay only. Multichannel vendors also publish free plans with limits: Sellbrite’s covers 30 orders a month with a 2-hour sync, and Zoho Inventory’s lists 50 orders and one user.
What is the best eBay inventory management software for a small UK seller?
The best choice is the cheapest tool that fits your channels, volume and catalogue. An eBay-only seller can often stay on Seller Hub. A seller adding Amazon or Etsy should compare Zoho Inventory, which publishes UK prices in pounds, with Veeqo’s Inventory plan, from £17 a month including VAT. Sellbrite costs less to start, but on eBay UK it syncs quantities and imports orders without syncing prices or editing listings.
Can eBay Seller Hub manage stock across Amazon and Etsy?
Not on its own. Seller Hub manages your eBay account only and holds no stock figure shared with other channels. To sell the same units on Amazon, Etsy or a website, you need multichannel software or a system that pushes one stock count everywhere.
How many variations can one eBay listing have?
eBay’s help pages say one fixed-price listing can hold up to 250 variations for no additional fee. Each listing can have 5 variation details, such as size or colour, with up to 50 values for each. Each variation can carry its own quantity and price.
Do I still need stock records if eBay reports my sales to HMRC?
Yes. Platforms report your details and income to HMRC unless you make fewer than 30 sales of goods and receive less than 2,000 euros (about £1,700) in a calendar year. GOV.UK guidance says those reports do not replace your normal business records or tax calculations. They show platform earnings less fees, by quarter, and nothing about stock bought, held or written off. Ask an accountant how the rules apply to you.
Final takeaway
Start with what eBay gives you free, then pay for the smallest tool whose sync interval, pricing unit and SKU model fit how you sell, priced on your busiest combined month across every channel. Move to an owned operations system only when limits, per-order fees or personalised products keep costing more than the fix.
